Let’s be honest here, island hopping in Thailand is just about every ones dream. The South-East Asian waters, untouched jungle islands and natural beauty are worth dreaming about.
We’re going to help you take a step towards making that dream a reality. We’ll show you some really cool spots to go when island hopping in Phuket. So, wherever you are, close your eyes, take a deep breath and get ready for your life to be changed!
Phuket in the last few years has changed dramatically. It’s been built up a tonne; there’s shops, cafes, restaurants, high-end housing and all the amenities you can think of. It isn’t that slow-moving, untouched, unknown island any longer, it seems like everyone and their dog has come to move here, and for good reason! If you want to engulf yourself in the true, hammock swinging, palm tree staring, ‘Sabai Sabai’ Thai lifestyle, then you’ve got to go island hopping in Phuket.
Be careful under those coconut palm trees though. Falling coconuts are factually more life-threatening than sharks in the ocean, who knew?!

Poached Breakfast Cafe
Hopefully you’ll know exactly where to go to by the end of this blog and you’ll be a pro at island hopping in Phuket. Before we show you some of these incredible places, we’ve got to introduce you to one of the hottest brekkie spots this side of the mainland. Poached Breakfast Cafe is the ultimate place to grab a bite to eat to fuel yourself for the big day ahead.
Our cafe is in a prime location, especially for those of you looking to go island hopping in Phuket. We’re just a couple of minutes from Chalong Pier, where boats board for day trips deep into the Andaman, out to some of the most beautiful spots in the world.

We’ve also got a cosy, homey feel with our Nordic-style decor, comfy booths, overhanging foliage and great natural lighting from the morning sun. Get yourself into the chilled island-life vibey zone, before your day out at sea. Ahoy me matey!
What really sets us apart though, is our delicious range of mouth-watering food. You’ll definitely leave us full and energised for the day ahead. Some have been known to put themselves into a food coma! Our brekkie selection on our Aussie-inspired menu is absolutely ace.
Check out one of our signature dishes, a bit of a celebrity down here, the ‘Pulled Pork Eggs Benny’. Our slow-cooked, tender pulled pork shoulder, is caped in a velvety apple hollandaise. It’s combined with green apple for an acidic crunch, sweet, juicy pomegranate and 2 creamy poached eggs. This all tops our light homemade sourdough. Have you ever fallen in love with a meal before? This could be love at first bite, trust us!

If you’re a full Aussie breakfast sort of person, then we’ve got you covered too with the ‘Big Al’s Brekkie’. It’s a breakfast for champions. This plate is loaded with yumminess. We make eggs your way and serve them with crisp-edged bacon, chunky chorizo, succulent fried mushrooms, perfectly cooked hash browns, roasted tomato and a tangy tomato bush relish. Oh boy, just writing this is making me hungry.
Although being on this food hype is great right now, to avoid one big messy disaster, we’ve got to remind you to pack your medication if you get boat sick. Thank us later!
It’d be rude of us not to mention our immense, scrumptious bagels before we send you out for your dream day island hopping. They could take your day to a whole new level. Chomp into our ‘New York Style’ bagel. It’s packed with poached chicken which falls apart at the touch, soft avocado, semi-dried tomatoes to add a tangy pop and a drizzle of tasty chipotle mayo.

The ‘Holy Halloumi’ bagel is a showstopper too. Our fluffy bagel is filled with some flavoursome, salty pan-fried halloumi, pickles, onions and thick, smokey BBQ cream cheese. It’s a cheesy delight that’s seriously hard to beat!
There’s still one thing missing though, right? Yes! The all-important caffeine hit to start your day. Can anyone really function without a great morning coffee? We have a massive selection of lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, americanos and so much more. With different milk alternatives and tasty syrups, we’re hard to beat for a good brew. Our coffee beans are sourced from the best manufacturer around and our baristas are specialists in grinding the beans and pressing the grounds, to give a flawless depth and taste.

Phi Phi Don
Phi Phi Don is an experience that you won’t forget. When you float into the bay on the boat, just look around and take in the pure beauty; huge hills, jungle islands and crystal blue ocean. It’s tropical island life at its finest.
Railay
Although it’s not technically an island, Railay makes it to our list of spots to go when island hopping in Phuket. Another glorious place, full of picturesque scenes at every turn. There’s some fun activities here too, kanoing, rock climbing and cave walking.
Similan Islands
Similan Islands has been rated one of Nat Geo’s top ten places to dive in the world. If that doesnt tell you what you need to know then we don’t know what will. It’s a bit of a longer trip on a boat from the West coast of Phuket. However, this national park is full of wildlife, untouched junglead ocean and it’s not at all overcrowded.

Honestly, the stunning nature of Thailand is indescribable. That’s why the Similan Islands has to be the first place you go when you’re island hopping in Phuket.
