Poached Breakfast Cafe
I mean … you didn’t really think we’d talk about coffee without mentioning Poached Breakfast Cafe, did you? There’s a reason that this cosy little spot will forever have a place in our Phuket coffee guide and that reason is straight up deliciousness.
Let’s talk caffeine shall we? Poached Breakfast Cafe has a range of coffees to choose from, whether iced or hot and each one is full of amazing body, richness and smoothness. We source our coffees and are stringent about only using the very best beans, roasted to perfection using the latest science in coffee roasting, degassed with absolute precision and ground to our exact specifications in order to ensure the very best flavour gets into every single cup. Our baristas are experts at what they do and they brew the best cup of coffee every time!
Whether it’s a creamy latte you’re after, a foamy cappuccino or a rich espresso, our baristas can do it all. Don’t forget to order a mocha for some fun and creative artwork. If iced coffee is more your jam, don’t sweat it, we’ve got loads of different flavours and styles of iced coffees for you to try. Check out our orange espresso or our caramel macchiato. Or, as we head a little closer to the festive season that remains pretty dang hot here in Phuket, why not try our iced after eight cappuccino that has been created with minty, chocolatey goodness and tastes like the perfect christmassy treat in hot weather.

Don’t forget to try one of our insane burgers – one of them is even vegetarian! They come with a side of the most delicious, crispy, salty chips that have the most amazing texture and flavour. I think about them a little too much.

Daddy Says Yes
When it comes to our Phuket coffee guide, if you can’t make it to Poached, we’ll direct you to the next best thing. Daddy Says Yes might be missing out on the extensive food menu we’ve got but they do truly serve some super duper cups of coffee. Ignore the suggestive name and stay for the wonderful coffees.
With their old school 70’s aesthetic like something straight out of ‘Mad Men’ and a stunning outdoor area right out the back, we say, “Groovy Babyyyyy!” Their specialties are their iced coffees which is exactly what gets them right into our fabulous Phuket coffee guide. So, if you’re looking for a bit of sunshine, a step back in time and a refreshing coffee, this spot in Chalong is the place to be!
Cafe Gabi
Conveniently located right across from Wat Chalong, Cafe Gabi is the perfect place to stop and sip right after some touristy activities. With beautiful tub chairs to recline in and lots of lovely bright natural light, this is a solid fixture in our Phuket coffee guide.
If we are being honest, they have a bit of an unexpected menu. The cafe at first appears French but they actually serve lots of Korean staples such as gimbap, ramen and bulgogi. If you’re into Korean fare, dig in, if you’re not, then you might find yourself in a bit of a bind.
But if you’re visiting for coffee, you’re in luck. We especially enjoy their affogato and their dalgona latte – this amazing, creamy whipped coffee that took TikTok by storm a while back. They stay in our Phuket coffee guide for exactly that. It’s fun, delicious, refreshing and definitely worth a try.
CAFH: Cafe at Home
CAFH: Cafe at Home is a very home-style, relaxed type place with lots of garden seating, covered with shade (thankfully!). If you like nature and chilled vibes, this is a great spot to visit. It feels almost like you’re hanging out in your friend’s very tropical backyard.
But let’s be honest, this is the Phuket coffee guide so we are here for the coffee. And they do a pretty stellar job. They’ve got lattes with very precise and delicate latte art, lots of flavour and depth. For me, the roast is a little too dark, but if you enjoy your coffee with a little POW and punch, then they do that really well here.
They even do slow bar filter coffee that you can watch drip right at your table. Don’t forget to try their lemon coffee soda and their dirty coffee.
Food wise, the prices are very affordable but the Western food comes with a distinctly Thai twist. Some of the flavour combinations, aren’t ones we would personally eat together but some might be to your taste. We love their Thai menu though so if you’re hungry, we’d always go for that first.
